How to protect Polaroids
How to protect Polaroid and Instax: album, fridge magnet, shoebox vs UV acrylic bumper. Mini, Square, classic Polaroid — insertion included.

“How to protect Polaroids” covers Instax Mini, Instax Square and classic Polaroid (SX-70, 600, i-Type). This is not 10 × 15 photo paper: it is a chemical sandwich that keeps living after the shot. Glued album, fridge magnet, pile in a box: the souvenir yellows before it is hung. Anzena does not sell soft sleeves: the bumper is the shell that filters UV and that you hold instead of the print.
Why a Polaroid does not survive bare
The image forms in the film. Dyes are unstable. UV breaks yellows and magentas; heat veils; fingers leave grease in the semi-gloss surface. The white border is not just an Instagram frame: it is also chemistry. A tight album marks. A weak magnet falls. A 10 × 15 photo frame leaves play: Mini and Square are not standard prints.
Instax Mini, Square and classic Polaroid do not share the same dimensions. A generic “Polaroid frame” floats or forces. The Anzena bumper is seated to size — a Mini handle, a Square handle, a Classic handle.

What kills an instant print
- Window sun: fading in a few months.
- Fingers on emulsion that is still tender, just after ejection.
- Fridge magnet, pin, tape: a drop, a mark, chemistry attacked.
- A 10 × 15 frame that is too wide: the photo floats and scratches.
- A pile in an envelope: dog-eared corners, prints stuck together.
Album, sleeve, bumper
The album stores. It barely filters UV and it rubs at every page. A soft photo sleeve will not hang on a wall. The Anzena acrylic bumper: click, UV > 96 %, anti-crease, FlexLock back often included on Mini. Lots of 50 / 100 / 150 for an evening. We do not sell Instax sleeves.
- Mini, Square and Classic: three bumpers, not a “universal Polaroid”.
- You hold the bumper, not the film.
- Wall: FlexLock + FlexFrame, out of direct sun.
- Wedding / photobooth: one colour, one engraving, one lot.
Protect a Polaroid in four gestures
Wait until the image is dry to the touch. Clean hands.
- 01Identify Mini, Square or Classic — the wrong bumper forces or leaves play.
- 02Open the bumper, slide the print in flat, edge seated, face to the pane.
- 03Click shut. No more finger / emulsion contact.
- 04Hang via FlexLock or set it down. Avoid window sun even with the UV filter.

FAQ
Can I stick a Polaroid on the fridge?+
A décor magnet lets go; tape marks the chemistry. The Mini bumper’s FlexLock back is sized for the FlexFrame, not a thin fridge door.
Will a 10 × 15 photo frame fit Instax?+
No: too wide, too deep, often without a serious UV filter. Take the bumper for the size (Mini, Square or Classic).
Do I need a sleeve in the bumper?+
No. The acrylic pane is the protection. A sleeve adds play and rubbing.
