Wedding gift idea: Instax and photo bumper

The Polaroid guestbook often ends as a pile in a box: dog-eared prints, fingers everywhere, buffet UV. The Anzena idea reverses the gesture. You set out an Instax and a lot of bumpers. Each guest (or each couple) takes a photo, slides it into a bumper, and leaves with a frame. The couple keep theirs — or a FlexWall from the reception. Anzena does not sell the camera or the film: we make the shell that turns the print into a gift.

Why the Polaroid “guestbook” gets damaged

An Instax print is handled all evening. Chemistry still tender, white border, emulsion: guests set it down, stack it, slide it into a pocket. The next day part of the photos is already marked. An IKEA 10 × 15 frame does not seat Mini. A 12-photo screw frame is assembled on the morning of the wedding and does not leave in a bag.

The classic guest favour (sugared almonds, mini-bottle) gets thrown away. A photo from the dance floor, already framed, sits on a shelf. Same object for the couple and for the guests: one bumper, one colour, a date engraved on the back.

What ruins an evening souvenir

• Prints stacked while still damp: they stick.
• Jacket pocket, bag, overfull guestbook: corners.
• Atrium sun / spots: fading from the drinks reception.
• A photo frame that is too wide: Mini floats.
• No plan B: 80 guests, 20 sleeves gathered in an urn.

The Instax + bumper ritual

Choose Mini (the most common rental) or Square (more “Polaroid”). Order a lot of 50, 100 or 150, one finish, optional engraving (date, initials). On the day: Instax station, a stack of bumpers open or ready, one person helping insert. The guest leaves with the bumper closed. The couple can keep a series for a FlexWall, or you can gift the lot to the couple if you are a witness / family.

• Catalogue lots 50 / 100 / 150 — Mini, Square or classic Polaroid.
• One colour for the whole evening, readable on a table.
• Laser engraving on the back: the wedding date, not a sticker.
• UV > 96 %: the souvenir survives the buffet and the living room, not full south sun.

On the day, four gestures

Wait until the image is dry. A still-tender corner marks forever.

1. 01Set the station: camera, film (elsewhere), a stack of bumpers in the right size, one already closed as a model.
2. 02The guest takes the photo. Do not touch the emulsion while it develops.
3. 03Open the bumper, slide the print in flat, click shut.
4. 04The guest leaves with the bumper. The couple keep theirs — or magnetise them later on a FlexFrame.

Two gifts, one object

Gift to the couple: the lot + the camera (bought elsewhere) + optionally a FlexFrame for the entrance wall. Guest favours: each bumper plays the wedding-favour role. Photographers and wedding planners: Professionnels page for quantity brief and lead time.

• Count one bumper per guest (or per couple) + about 10 % margin.
• Mini 12 and Mini share the Mini bumper. Square = another handle. Do not mix.
